Privacy policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This website belongs to the campaign of Rita Ditaranto, candidate for Ward 7 Councillor in the Town of Innisfil, Ontario. We keep the site deliberately simple and collect as little personal information as possible. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what happens to it.

What we collect

What we do not collect

How we use your information

Information you send us is used only for the purpose you sent it: delivering the lawn sign you requested, answering your question, or following up on a volunteer offer you made. We will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for, and any campaign email we send you will relate directly to what you requested.

Who can see it

Form submissions and emails are seen by Rita and, where needed for delivery, the campaign volunteer who brings your sign. We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise share your personal information with anyone else, ever.

Two service providers process data on our behalf in order to run the site: our web host (Netlify, which also stores form submissions) and our DNS provider (Cloudflare). Their servers may be located outside Canada, including in the United States, which means data they hold can be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

How long we keep it

Lawn-sign form submissions are deleted once the sign has been delivered and any follow-up you asked for is complete, and in any event within the campaign's official wrap-up period after the October 26, 2026 election. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with the matter you raised, or as required by Ontario's municipal campaign record-keeping rules.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email ritadward7@gmail.com and we will act on the request promptly. If you request a lawn sign and change your mind, tell us and we will remove your details.
